According to a Canadian study, questions about erectile dysfunction should be part of annual checkups by family doctors not just to ensure a man is sexually healthy but also to assure that the presence of erectile dysfunction elevates the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

Asking for a sexual history of a patient and determining to what degree their sexual function is normal is an important part of not only understanding their sexual health, but perhaps on a much broader level, their cardiovascular health, as well. The presence of erectile dysfunction is strongly associated with the risk of future coronary disease as men with cardiovascular disease or diabetes are most likely to have erectile dysfunction.

Erectile dysfunction is a treatable disease. The ailment can be completely cured with the proper usage of ED drugs such as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
