Levitra & Viagra replace Tobacco & cheese

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

The report of Voz de Cadiz it has been highlighted that the now normal transit of Spaniards entering GIbraltar to buy cheese and tobacco seems to have been reduced. With Viagra and Levitra takings its place.

Voz de Cadiz does not seem to be paralleled by reality, with tobacco, sugar, cheese and petrol still amongst the most purchased products by visitors from Spain, there has been a known increase in the trade of pharmaceuticals.

Lower prices, and over the counter purchases, without the need of prescriptions has seen Gibraltar continue to attract customers from the Costa del Sol, as well as neighbouring towns to Gibraltar.

The sale of Viagra & other erectile dysfunction drugs such as levitra are also believed to have increased, with business sources indicating that trading to visitors, as well as through the internet has increased in recent years.

The sale of Tobacco and chease petrol, however, continue to be two of the main contributors to the retail market, with long queues of vehicles still experienced at the border heading for petrol stations such as Cepsa where buying a packet of cigarrettes and refilling by just poping for a half hour trip into Gibraltar has become common place amongst Spaniards.

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Short Answer: Yes. Levitra works well even after drinking moderate amounts of alcohol, and also appears to be safe with moderate amounts of alcohol. However, it has not been tested for safety after heavy drinking, and heavy drinking is a proven cause of erectile dysfunction. So drink in moderation when you’re planning to take Levitra.

Long Answer: The FDA-approved package insert for Levitra offers no cautions about taking Levitra with alcohol, and some clinical testing has been done on this issue. It appears to be safe when taken with moderate amounts of alcohol and its effectiveness doesn’t appear to be much diminished..

Here’s a report on Levitra and alcohol:

In a randomized, double-blind, three-fold crossover study, 20 mg Levitra or placebo was administered orally together with alcohol (0.5 g/kg in 200 ml of orange juice) or placebo.

Results showed that Levitra PK parameters were largely unaffected by alcohol
